THE BLACK SWAN

The staging of "The Black Swan" is based on the Thomas Mann's novella. In his last completed literary work “The Black Swan” (“Die Betrogene") (1953), Thomas Mann shows the hopeless love of a German widow for a twice younger American man. This story of a late love is taking place after the First World War against the background of the ruined European past, culture, and traditions, and is devoted to perhaps the most intriguing human trait – the ability to give one’s love to the moment passing forever.
