Based on the legendary play by Lillian Hellman, written a hundred years ago and regularly performed on Broadway ever since. This gem of American classics is stylistically similar to Ibsen's plays – the psychological tangles, family dramas, love and money. In a way, an American Chekhov.
The centuries are rolling on, while human passions remain the same. It is said that the greatest test for a person is power and money, especially if they try to fill their personal inner voids with these two. In this play, we will try to explore what are those voids inside us that we are all passionately trying to fill, as best we can, chasing after what we have imagined – more and better. And what is after all lost in the name of "more and better".
